Whether it be Varifocals, Contact Lenses or just a general discussion Fulgoni Optometrists are always happy to offer their advice. So please feel free to walk into the practice, try on some frames and talk to any of the staff about what you want out of spectacles or contact lenses.

Your Eye Examination

All of our eye examinations are carried out by our fully qualified Optometrist.

During the eye examination they will carry out a combination of tests to both check the level of vision that you have and also check the health of the eye. During the examination they will ask if you have suffered from any recent problems and ask you questions on your previous history as well as that of your family.

Using different instruments the Optometrist will examine the interior of the eye to assess the condition of it, and check that the muscles of the eye are evenly balanced. If you are aged 40 or over a test for Glaucoma will automatically be carried out.

Taking into account your job and any hobbies or sports your level of vision will then be assessed to determine if it could be improved with either spectacles or contact lenses. You will then be given a prescription and handed over to a dispensing optician who will be able to discuss how your needs can be best matched.
